Our Work

At Purpose Driven Church (PDC) PEACE PLAN LESOTHO, we are committed to promoting peace and resolving conflicts around the world. Our work is focused on bringing people together, fostering dialogue, and finding solutions to the complex challenges that face our global community.

The Lesotho Purpose Driven Church (PDC) PEACE PLAN Lesotho is a movement aimed at developing strong, healthy churches and transforming lives in communities. The PDC PEACE PLAN & Initiative seeks to equip pastors with the   five (5) biblical purposes of the Church, as outlined in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, and empower local churches to disciple and mobilize their members to live a life of purpose and mission.

In each country, the initiative begins with a meeting with influential and strategic church leaders to share the vision and discuss the opportunity. This is followed by the formation of a National Steering Committee ( NSC), which provides leadership to the nationwide movement. NSC, in collaboration with an Implementation Team and an International Partnering Church (IPC) Training Team, selects church leaders to undergo the Purpose Driven Church Training process, with the goal of developing local master trainers.

The PDC- PEACE PLAN initiative is designed to provide local pastors and churches with the necessary tools and resources to start a movement of strong, healthy churches and transformed lives in communities. A proven model has been developed, incorporating lessons learned, which can now serve as a blueprint for the implementation of the initiative in all 10 districts of Lesotho.

A Call to the Church

Our world faces seemingly insurmountable difficulties – war and conflict, corrupt leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic diseases and crippling illiteracy. These devastating problems affect billions, not millions, of our fellow human beings. The public and private sectors attempt to find lasting solutions but have little to show for their efforts. We believe the missing component is the faith community – the Church of Jesus Christ. Jesus promised that He would build His Church and even the powers of hell could not take it down. With a guarantee this powerful, the Church of Jesus Christ is able to have a unique impact on the world, making a contribution unlike any other organization. The Church can promote reconciliation, equip servant leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation. Truly the Church is the hope of the world! Key Areas of Focus

1. Use the Purpose Driven Church model to capacitate a local church
2. Use the PEACE Plan as a model to provide solutions for community social ills:
3. Conflict Resolution: We work with governments, civil society organizations, and community leaders to resolve conflicts and promote peace in areas affected by violence and instability.
4. Peacebuilding: We support the development of inclusive and sustainable peace processes, and work to strengthen the capacity of local peacebuilders to promote social cohesion and reconciliation.
5. Dialogue and Negotiation: We facilitate dialogue and negotiation between parties in conflict, and provide training and support to help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to resolve their differences peacefully.
6. Community Engagement: We work with local communities to promote peace and social cohesion, and support the development of community-led initiatives that foster tolerance, understanding, and respect for diversity.
