As we approach the end-of-year season—a time many look forward to with joy—we must also remember those facing deep social challenges beyond their control. You don’t need to know my personal story, nor why I have experienced some of these struggles. What matters is this: even the smallest act of kindness, offered wherever you are able, can create a lasting impact.

Across our communities, children and women continue to bear the burden of absent parents, and in some cases, the absence of both. We do not need to reopen wounds to recognise the hardship. Instead, let us choose to stand with those committed to doing good for humanity, regardless of our backgrounds or circumstances.
